Use Instructions: Your Epic Nano Water Filter Pitcher comes with our Nano Filter. Before use, filter two full Pitcher of water to soak the filter media and get the water flow running correctly. The first few full Pitcher may run slowly as the new filter is soaking through. After that, it will flow faster. It takes an average time of 10-15 minutes for the water to fully flow through the filter.

Things to never do with our “Nano Filter”

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What’s the main difference between the new Nano Filter XP and the old Nano filter?

The Nano Filter XP features a completely redesigned media structure for better performance. It offers higher flow rates, improved filtration efficiency, and longer filter life compared to the old Nano filter.

How much filtration media is in the new Nano Filter XP?

The Nano XP uses 0.70 square feet of media per filter, thanks to its two-layer design, each with 0.35 sq ft of media. In contrast, the old Nano had only 0.29 sq ft in a single layer.

Why does the new Nano Filter XP have better flow rates?

The increased surface area (0.70 sq ft vs. 0.29 sq ft) and optimized pleat design allow for more water to pass through with less resistance, delivering higher flow without sacrificing filtration quality.

What’s improved about the pleat design in the new Nano XP?

The Nano XP uses shallower, more evenly distributed pleats, which prevents inner pleats from blinding off (a common issue in the older design with deeper, fewer pleats). This ensures the entire filter media remains effective.

Is the media in the new Nano XP still nanofiber-based?

Yes, but with a major upgrade. The new Nano XP uses a nanofiber engineered non-woven media with a more open pore structure for better flow, while still maintaining submicron filtration capability.

How does the Nano XP still capture bacteria and viruses with a more open structure?

The media is electropositive, which allows it to attract and capture negatively charged submicron particles like bacteria, viruses, and cysts—even with a more open pore structure. This results in low pressure drop with excellent contaminant reduction.

My filter casing is stuck on the Nano XP

Be sure to have the filter screwed onto the reservoir before attempting to remove the casing. Also, do not pinch or hold where the threads are as this will make it harder to unscrew.
