External Filter Layer: The external layer of the CoreXchange filter is a groundbreaking component, designed to capture submicron particles with remarkable efficiency. Unlike traditional mechanical filter media, this nano fiber layer uses electroadsorptive technology, powered by the unique crystalline structure of the mineral fibers. As water flows through, the natural, strong positive charge of these nano fibers actively attracts and binds to negatively charged contaminants, including microplastics, pathogens, trace pharmaceuticals, and cellular debris. Its electro-positive wet-laid nonwoven technology, with pore sizes ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 microns, captures even the smallest impurities. When exposed to water, the crystal structure within the fibers creates a charge potential that extends deeper into the pore structure, enhancing contaminant capture across multiple layers. This innovative external layer acts as a powerful barrier, stopping impurities before they reach the activated carbon fiber block within, creating an unmatched dual-layer defense for cleaner, safer drinking water.
